Our Tours
From the battlefields of Flanders in the North, to the many tragic landmarks in the Somme, our tours offer a comprehensive study of key sites and important sites. Walk in the footsteps of soldiers, visit meticulously preserved trenches, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they faced.

Travelling to The Somme
Pick up points
1. Faversham or Canterbury by arrangement
2. Judd’s Folly hotel in Faversham where you can leave your car for the duration of the tour
3. Some towns in Northern France or Belgium, by mutual agreement.
Transport
Air conditioned spacious MPV’s (maximum 4 guests per vehicle)
We have insurance and breakdown cover for travel abroad as well as public liability insurance.
Accommodation
All Western Front Tour groups will be accommodated for 3 nights in hand-picked houses in the tranquil Picardie countryside.
Crossings from the UK to France
Eurotunnel – Folkestone to Calais (35 minutes)
Ferry – Dover to Calais or Dunkirk (90 mins or 120 mins respectively)
Unless specially requested, the crossings will normally be via Ferry
WW1 Battlefield Tours Tariff
£895 per adult for a four day all inclusive tour. Minimum of 2.
£795 per person for groups of 3 or more
£750 per person for an exclusive tour for 4 people.
Reductions are available for groups of 5 to 8.
£450 per child (under 16) accompanied by a paying adult
For student 4-day tours, £450 per person for a group of 8 (minimum).
We charge £50 for any research carried out on your behalf.
The all inclusive tariffs include:
- Eurotunnel or ferry crossing
- All travel including motorway toll charges
- Accommodation (including linen and towels)
- All meals, drinks and snacks
- Any entry fees to museums and tunnels etc.
- There may be an extra charge for “long-distance pick-ups”
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking (not applicable for children). The balance amount will be required six weeks prior to departure.
